A Before and After

So, I know big surprise this is not a Halloween project. Sorry to disappoint however, this was a project that NEEDED to be done!
...So...remember this picture last year of my wall with "Family" on it? I loved the arranged photos, but I HATED the black frames. They were to harsh to the eye and I felt like every time I looked at the wall I saw black instead of cute pictures. I decided it was finally time to change when my friend showed me a trick she used. Canvas pictures are a big thing right now...and I love them...but I don't love....the price! Call me cheapo...cause I am...but I couldn't do it. So...I decided to use foam board instead. I sprayed photo adhesive and stuck the pictures on the boards. I cut the board to size using my rotary cutter, mat and ruler. It was so easy! I used 1 1/2 pieces of foam board at $1.99 each. The new pictures...$11. Now that my friends is more in my budget:)!
I feel like it is not as harsh and it doesn't stop the wall...if you know what I mean!...The picture in the middle was taken by my amazing brother in law. He is an amazing photographer! Check out his website here. If you live in the Utah area look him up! Anyway I love my new wall and love that it is us. Nothing is posed it is all....REAL...this is my life...and I love it!

Halloween Toparies

What could be cuter then Halloween topiaries? Crafty Sisters had this cute idea and I could not pass it up. All these wonderful ladies have helped inspire me and get me out of the slump I have been in. My mom and I had so much fun making these together! They took about 50 glue sticks, a whole tub of gum drops, jelly bellies, Reese's Pieces, cute ribbon, containers to put them in, spider web, spiders and foam to stick them in. It was a lot, but I could be more pleased. They are all placed on my piano which I just love!

Fall Yard Pick

Craft Chic Mommy also had a yard pick that was so cute...and of course....I have a chop saw do I could make it!!! Okay you can also have Home Depot cut your wood....but it was nice to not have to do that!
Such an easy project! I just painted, distressed, put vinyl on it, glued it, tied raffia and walla...there it is! I have it displayed in my wall cut out at my front door.
I thought it was perfect with my scarecrows...I bought those last year on clearance for $3. I was excited to finally get to use them!

PUMPKINS!!!

This year I am in love with pumpkins. Crafty Chic Mommy had a post of wood pumpkins that I loved! So with more wood....AND...my chop saw :)!...I knew I could do it! So I started with painting them orange. They each needed two coats of paint.

So I started with painting them orange. They each needed two coats of paint.

I don't have the right saw to put the marks in the wood so this is how I did it. I just took a paint scraper and wrapped sand paper around it and followed a line. I also distressed the edges a little. I also painted the stems brown, and distressed them.

Here is the final project! I LOVE them! It was just what I wanted!

"Boo" Blocks

I have been wanting to make "BOO" blocks for the longest time. With getting my chop saw how could I not? So, my mom and I bought the wood and away we went!! Here is the stack. Now just for the record...I know I only needed 3 blocks...but I made four sets!
Here is how they turned out! I love them! I painted the wood white and distressed it a little. Modpodged paper on and added orange vinyl cut from my cricut. I am pleased with how they turn out. At the end of all these projects I will show how I display them all. I want to save it for the end though. So this is all you get so far.

Halloween Board of Sayings

Have you been over to tatertots and jello yet? It is seriously such a cute blog! She has come up with amazing ideas one of which I HAD to copy. It is a long board with all different Halloween saying. I LOVE it. I just used my cricut to cut out the sayings. I loved how she placed them so I copied how she did it. Her is how mine turned out...

The best thing about this project is I already had most everything! The only thing I needed to get was the fabric for the flowers.I have seen these pictures all over blogland! I LOVE them. I couldn't not have them on my board. I think that was the number one thing I loved about this board. The tutorial I used it one of the best. It can be found at My Sparkle. I am thinking after the holiday's I want to make a family saying board!

Spice Um Up

Have you seen all the little cheap pumpkins? I love them...but I don't love how they look. I don't want them to look cheap so here is what I did.
Here are all my pumpkins and gourds. They we all $1 at....The. Dollar. Store. can you beat that? No! However I wanted them to look a little better! So, I took a little of this (Metallic Craft Paint in Gold) and just brushed it on the raised part of the pumpkin or gourd.

This picture really doesn't do it justice of how much better they look!

Here is how I displayed them. I put some in my trifle dish with...a bow...of course and a couple by it. I love how it turned out.

A Simple Halloween Project

This is one of the first projects my Mom and I did while she was in town. It was E.A.S.Y!!!! I took a glass cylinder and a candle stick holder. Did I mention I got these at the DOLLAR STORE!?!?!
Here are the cylinders.

Here they are all glued together. I used E6000 glue to hold it together! You can't even tell it is glued. I let it set for 24 hours. I am sure you don't have to let it set that long...I just moved on to other projects.

And the finished project....LOVE IT! I filled mine with candy corn and spiders. I tied a bow around to add a little something and this is what I got. For $4 how could you go wrong?!?!?!
