So I started with painting them orange. They each needed two coats of paint.
I don't have the right saw to put the marks in the wood so this is how I did it. I just took a paint scraper and wrapped sand paper around it and followed a line. I also distressed the edges a little. I also painted the stems brown, and distressed them.
Here is the final project! I LOVE them! It was just what I wanted!
This picture really doesn't do it justice of how much better they look!
Here is how I displayed them. I put some in my trifle dish with...a bow...of course and a couple by it. I love how it turned out.
Here they are all glued together. I used E6000 glue to hold it together! You can't even tell it is glued. I let it set for 24 hours. I am sure you don't have to let it set that long...I just moved on to other projects.
And the finished project....LOVE IT! I filled mine with candy corn and spiders. I tied a bow around to add a little something and this is what I got. For $4 how could you go wrong?!?!?!
MY NEW CHOP SAW!!!!
I am seriously in love. I have already made projects with it. I cannot wait to share some of the projects with you! My mom was in town and gave me this for my birthday...which I won't tell you isn't until April...and together we in a week we used lots of wood...over 50 glue sticks...lots of paper...and many trips to Hobby Lobby. I cannot wait to share the out come of it all! For now thought maybe I will go cute some more wood!!!!!!
