I cannot tell you how much I have fallen in LOVE with spray paint. Thirfty Decor Chick is having a spray paint party today and I knew I had to join. I have been working on my new side tables for a few days now and knew I had to finish them for the party! I found these babies at the thrift store and knew they were meant to be mine. I just knew they needed to be in my bedroom. Here is the before and after! Soon to come (when I find the perfect lamps) will be a picture of them in there new home. My bedroom!
Hello! Looks like you are good with spray paint--you should have no trouble on the cedar chest! I primed it first with gray tinted primer. Then I rolled on two coats of black satin latex paint. I used Kettle Black from Lowe's (can't remember the brand). Then I sprayed the top coat. But I think you could use a foam roller instead, now that I know they exist! It would definitely save your trigger finger! I am painting my kitchen cabinets in a few weeks, and everything I have read about it says to use a foam roller to avoid brush marks. Good luck! My father-in-law thought I was CRAZY, but even he said that it turned out well!
