Mess Makeover

I am sure this will come to no shock to you....but three kids...equals MESSES :)!
A good mess means they had fun right....right...?!?!?!?!

Well...this mess I simply could NOT take anymore...
I was starting to sweat just looking at it!

WARNING...these pictures are HORRENDOUS!
(Please don't judge me :))Do you see all the USELESS garbage on the floor...no...GOOD!

For some reason the toys just get pushed to the side at bedtime :)

Here is the pile of everything random :)!

Okay...now that I am hyperventilating...let me show you what I spend an HOUR AND A HALF doing....My hope is when we build our house...(Hopefully this summer)...It has a basement and I want the green rug to be under a table and chairs for the kids...and have a magically little play house area...my girls would love it!(That is why I still have the green rug)
Oh look...my third child is still in PJ's...I mean Kenz finally found her babies! :)

And here is the grand finale! I can finally breath again!
P.S. I LOVE this Ikea shelf to get everything organized!

Happy Organizing!

Cute Valentine Flowers!

So...I don't know about you but I LOVE Valentines Day! Is was the FIRST holiday my husband and I celebrated while dating...I love the pinks and the reds! It it just a happy fun holiday!

Well...with two little girls...I NEEDED something fun to put in there hair.
They are 2 and 3 now and LOVE new clippies!

Here are my Valentine ones...I made 7 of these in about 30 minutes... if that...
I made some to give away...they are not all for my two girls :) Just in case you were wondering!I added a rhinestone to mine in the middle...and here is how that looks...however, the possibilities are endless...buttons, beads, pearls, rhinestones or nothing... you can just play around with them...

So...here is what you need if you are going to make some...they are SO EASY!
Trust me...really... they are!

1/8th yard of fabric
something circle to trace...I used my packaging tap roll...its all I could find around the house :)
scissor
thread...I used white embroidery floss
A needle

Trace a circle on your fabric and cut out...
Make a basting stitch around the edge of your circle with your thread or floss...
Be sure to put a knot in the end so it won't pull through...
Pull your thread and all sides of the circle will go to the middle...
Stitch the center to the back so it will stay...
Add a center and you are done!
SO EASY!

Happy Bow Making!

Before and After

It has been a while since I have done a before and after!

This before and after has been a LONG time coming...but it is in a room....that is at the bottom of my list to decorate....THE.BATHROOM.

Does anyone else have trouble with the bathroom? Well...I gave mine a little of a face lift to make it more pleasant to be in! :)

Before I had these in there...
This bathroom in my half bath downstairs so I wanted it to kind of tie in with the kitchen with rustic colors...

Here is after I changed it up a bit...
I love that you can see what they are in...then wondering...what the heck I have done....yes even I have mishaps that don't go over to well :)!

Total cost of the project....$2
YES $2...you can find the cute insides at THE DOLLAR STORE!

I also added this to the room....
YES...I FINALLY finished my cupcake liner wreath!
I found the frame at Hobby Lobby.
It made it look not so bare...all though this picture does not do it justice of how cute it is...because in a little bathroom it is hard to get a good angle...which is why it is crooked...
You all just took a second look huh? Stinkers!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

This year is going to be great!

2010 was filled with many lemons for me that I hope to just make lemonade out of this year!
There are two main reasons for my lemons...first...wanting to be financially stable...and two...fertility.

I have the ability to be in control of the first one and dang it...I am going to be!
This year I am starting some new things...I hope you will come along as I progress and show you many new ideas on a budget!

Yes I just said the dreadful...freeing...exciting word....BUDGET!

I have decided what I am going to work on this year...it is a BUDGET!

A REAL WORKING BUDGET!

I have read and pondered Dave Ramsey and have decided to do it! I am tired of the stress money can cause in myself, and my relationships!

Now just a minor detail...my husband and I have not been that foolish! We do not have furniture debt...electronic debt...only 1 credit card that doens't have to much on it...2 car payments that do not equal the average...BUT...we do have many, many student loans!

I feel so trapped and stranded with them. I hate them, but we had to get them! So now...we pay it back...and we ARE and WILL going to do this! I WILL be disciplined and focused...

My Sweetheart and I WILL be on the same page! So...

So...forgive me as I do this will you...I may not have as many projects going on because I need to have a different focus...please don't leave though! I love your support and comments...I promise to still have projects...it just will not be a priority. My family has to be!

Please wish me good luck on the journey!
