Looks like you are good with spray paint--...Hello! Looks like you are good with spray paint--you should have no trouble on the cedar chest! I primed it first with gray tinted primer. Then I rolled on two coats of black satin latex paint. I used Kettle Black from Lowe's (can't remember the brand). Then I sprayed the top coat. But I think you could use a foam roller instead, now that I know they exist! It would definitely save your trigger finger! I am painting my kitchen cabinets in a few weeks, and everything I have read about it says to use a foam roller to avoid brush marks. Good luck!
